4.9 Engineering Department
4.9.1 Mission Statement
“To provide engineering services with speed and flexibility by mean of passionate and skilled people to PMD, SMD, GLT and Leaf Area, hence enabling them to deliver quality products at minimum supply chain cost”
Engineering Department is concerned with all the Engineering items used in the factory. The Engineering department is headed by FPSM (Factory Production & Services Manager). It provides Engineering services in the following areas:
- Boiler House
- Electrical side
- Air conditioning
- Vehicles
- Engineering store
- Water pumps
- Telephones
- Generators
- Compressor
Some of the above items/services are provided by the company’s own employees while others through the contractors registered with the company. The purchase of the Engineering items/services is the responsibility of the Engineering Department.
4.9.2 Customers
The engineering Department provides services to all depts such as, Finance, PMD, SMD, GLT, MMD, Leaf Dept, HRM and Filter Rod.
4.9.3 Suppliers
Suppliers to engineering Department are, WAPDA, PTCL, Sui-Northern and Spare Part Dealers.
4.9.4 Functions/Processes
The following are the functions/processes of Eng: Dept, Steam to GLT and PMD, Electricity for Marium Garhi Mardan and maintenance and providing compressed air vacuums.
