The clientele of HN TPO' HRD Centre include govt. projects like South FATA Development Project; Dir Area Support Project, Barani Area Development Project-Phase 2, Essential Institutional Reforms Operationalisation Programme (EIROP). Among the NGOs and other international organisations, HN TPO has imparted training to the staff and communities of IUCN, OXFAM, UNDP, DTCE, GTZ, Care International, Swedish Committee etc. Similarly HN TPO has also remained involved in the capacity building of many NGOs in Afghanistan like MADERA and IRC etc.
A training course was conducted by HRD Center section in Participatory Development approaches for the staff of line agencies. This training was sponsored by IUCN. Four orientation training were also conducted for the staff of BADP, whereas 60 participants were covered in each training session. HRD Centre section plans to conduct similar training for the staff of other agencies in the future on regular basis.
Highlights of the training
To attend this training course 20 participants from mansehra arrived on 17th of April, 2006 to HRDC, HN TPO, Mansehra (one day earlier of the training). Boarding and lodging for the participants were arranged at the HRD Center of HN TPO.
Two participants fromAfghanistan who were from German Agro Action (GAA) also attended the training programme.
Advance training has two major objectives
1. To enable the participants to work as social organizers in their respective communities.
2. To capacitate them to organize and conduct training activities at their own.
The training activities were divided into two parts,

2. Training of trainers.

- The First visit is to a grown up organization / Cluster of the project areas, the aim and objective of these visits were to introduce participants from the developmental activities and their social mobilization process.
- The second visit is to a training institute, to know the participants about the arrangements of a training organization.
Training started daily at 9:00 am and ended at 4:30 pm but sometimes went beyond the ending time according to the requirement / importance of the topic, satisfaction of the resource person and interest of the participants. Different Resource persons, who are experts in their respective field, were invited to conduct sessions on different topics.
An Action Plan was prepared by the participants with the help of Training coordinator, that have then will spend 10 days in effective manner.
Training was concluded on 27th April, 2006 after distributing Certificates to the Participants on successful completion of the training course.

Role of Social Organizer:
social Organizer will conduct Social feasibility (after receiving Co resolution for PI) which includes Social Organization & Socio-Economic setup of the Co & Village and prioritized needs of the CO. This social feasibility will be a part of PI file.
- Technical Survey:
Field engineer will conduct the technical survey after provision of social feasibility by the concerned SO.
2. Role of MER:
Cost Benefits analysis of the projects will be prepared by MER.
