PREFACE

Banks act as financial intermediaries to the suppliers of funds and demanders of loans. Today in a tough competitive market, where these financial intermediaries are trying hard to attract more customers to earn their market share, the only thing that does count in this competitive market is the quality of services offered by the intermediaries to their valuable customers. This report will be helpful to give a brief about the products and services offered by the Bank Alfalah.

In this report my objective is to present the description, explained in mission, vision, corporate strategies and objectives, present situation, working model, financial standing and future aspects of the BAF; also towards the end, some drawbacks in the present system have been pointed out and suggestions, recommendation and also implementation plan for some quantitative recommendation have been given for a favorable change.

In fact six weeks stay and that’s too, as a trainee was by no means sufficient to observe, understand and study the multidimensional activities of the bank. Despite of its complex natured functions, it was managed to collect some valuable and related information to have a clear idea about its functioning and business.

At the end I would like to thank Manager for allowing me to do internship and all the staff specially incharge general banking, who helped me during the internship.

I am also thankful to my supervisor Mr. Hafeez Khatak whose valuable suggestions made it possible to complete on time and in well manner.
