3.1 Objectives:

As tomorrow is the age of science, technology and computer, the most primal and urgent need of today is to transfer the manual information system into tomorrow’s world information technology. This swift technology is leading towards the globalization of cultural, information, trade, industry and economy. Our project has future prospective for student information, computerized maintenance of data and quick access of information through computerized searching system. The introduction of computer-based approach gives a high degree of versatility to our project in a world of rapidly changing technologies.

The main objectives that will be attained are as following.

                         I.      The new system should be more efficient.

                      II.      The new system should be friendly and provide help to user for convenience, where required.

                   III.      It should be error free and reliable.

                   IV.      It should helpful for decision-making.

                      V.      It should provide accurate information.

                   VI.      It should be flexible to coupe with changes.

                VII.      Redundancy of data should be minimum.

             VIII.      Data independence will be achieved.

                   IX.      It should be easily maintainable within the available resources and be Feasible technical; and

                      X.      Will be cost beneficial in comparison with the present system.

                   XI.      It should ensure safe and storage of all the data at a single site.

                XII.      It should be able to accommodate immediately all changes made in the Record of book.

We can define our specific objectives of the project as it provides Data Security, Easy access to data, Properly Formatted Reports, Less Response time to user quires, Reduce Stationary Usage, Time Saving, Removal of Data Redundancy, Elimination of inconsistent Data, Enforcement of data storage standards, preventing user from entering inaccurate data.

3.2. System Proposal:

A computerized solution is proposed for PESCO Office Manshera.. This Proposed solution will fulfill all the data processing needs of current System. The solution is designed in such a way that leverage Existing technologies well, and make most of software reuses.

3.2.1. Goals:

The main goal of project is to computerize the system. This will remove all the stated problems with the current system as mentioned previously keeping in view, the type of system and data storage needs of the system following recommendations have been made:

·         Database for data storage and retrieval.

·         Hardware suitable to run both database and application software.
